So long, farewell...

I've decided that this will be my last post on xanga. No one really uses it anymore, including myself. So this is it friends!
I have my neuro test tomorrow and my final in a week, and that will conclude my 3rd semester of nursing school. I just have one summer semester and then the fall semester and I'll be done! I can't believe it! Man how time flies!
I'm excited that summer is near. I love the weather we've been having though. Driving with the windows down, cool breeze blowing at my face, music loud and singing like I have no care at all in the world... I really do love it!
Well, back to studying... never can study enough it seems. Goodbye xanga!

My parents came home from Houston with another trailer-load of crap from my grandparents' house. You'll never guess what they brought back. A safe from the Titanic. And the door doesn't even shut. So why my mom wanted it, I have no idea. It's a piece though... lol... (it's not REALLY from the Titanic, but it looks like it could've been! We're just calling it that to piss of my mom, lol!!)
There was a tornado here yesterday. Part of the rodeo is gone and there are lots of trees down and there was some flooding, but for the most part things are okay. It could've been a lot worse!
So Jess and I have recently had these evil thoughts of wanting to duct-tape my grandma to her chair.. of course we would NEVER act on these thoughts... but man, we sure think about it sometimes!! haha.. if only you knew....

Well I suppose after two months it's time for an update!

Our psychiatric rotations are over, and I wish they weren't. I loved them! I got to see a lot of pretty interesting stuff, too bad I can't tell yall all about it... I'm now moving into cardiac stuff. It's neat, but it requires a lot more studying, it's some hard stuff!!

My parents are remodeling the kitchen. I love remodeling (of course it's not my bank account!)  It's so much fun to go shopping and pick out new stuff for a kitchen though... In a few months we'll be redoing our bathroom and I get to pick out everything for it so I've been looking thru all the fun magazines for ideas like Pottery Barn and stuff... ohh I just love it!! I still can't decide on a color scheme though..

My friend Dan is flying in from Florida to visit for a few days on Saturday, which also happens to be my mom's birthday. We're having a big barbeque and my sister, brother-in-law and nephew are coming down and several friends will be coming. I'm really looking forward to it! And on Sunday we're going horseback riding... It's going to be a great weekend!!

I just have to make it through one more long 12-hour clinical tomorrow and then my Spring Break begins!!

I guess that's about it for now!

School starts again today. I have mixed feelings about going back. I've missed my friends, I've missed the routine, but I dread the studying and the exams that never seem to get easier. We are also doing psychiatric rotations this semester (actually starting tomorrow), which I'm not too sure how I feel about. I guess we'll see...

My grandmother passed away a little over a week ago and I believe I've had enough funerals to attend to here recently. Losing two grandparents within six weeks of each other is not exactly what I call a fun time. Still, we're moving on, missing them, but still moving on I guess.

Well, time to get ready for class. There are papers to print, books to buy, and things of that sort. Here's to a new year, a new start....

I just spent a lovely week in Colorado, visiting my parents. We skiied and snowboarded and had a great time!

I have to brag again about my nephew. I still think he is the cutest thing in the whole world!!!
